Project Overview

CC Communications began in 1889 as a telegraph provider in Churchill County, NV and grew to be the first company to provide rural Nevadans with Fiber to the Home and Gigabit broadband.

Recently we started the process of engineering and permitting our FTTH project that will accompany Southwest Gas’ build into Spring Creek, and expand into Elko. This project will connect Spring Creek and Elko to our nearly 700 route miles of fiber in Nevada. Connecting our planned Spring Creek/Elko system to our fiber and datacenter assets in Las Vegas and the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), as well as our fiber hotel point of presence (PoP) in Reno, creates a robust fiber network with the capacity and redundancy to handle the needs of the Spring Creek and Elko communities.

Being Nevada’s oldest Fiber to the Home provider, as well as a rural Nevada company, we understand what it will take to deliver world class service to you; An all fiber network with speeds up to 1Gbps, no data caps, backhaul capacity sized to prevent slowdowns during peak hours, local technicians, and local decision-making. No $800.00 so-called subsidies to get hooked up. No term contracts. No hidden $9.95 monthly fee for equipment that is required to simply use the Internet.

Using Nevada-based internal crew, together with our prime contractor NNE (headquartered in Elko), we are bringing fiber to your doorstep. NNE has been our construction contractor for over fifteen years and has always provided best in class utility construction practices that ensure the highest quality telecommunications facilities are the foundation of the service we provide to our customers.

Fiber services at Summit Estates are scheduled to arrive in late 2020, subject to the SW Gas timeline.  Fiber services in Elko in neighborhoods around Pinion and Lamoille and along Idaho, Silver Street, and 12th Street are also scheduled to go live in late 2020. This will require CC Communications to construct a backhaul route from Mountain City Hwy to around 12th street and Lamoille Hwy. Thereafter, a joint trench with SW Gas will proceed down Lamoille Hwy to the end of Spring Creek. This construction will be the mainline, or backbone, from which we will build into the residential and business locations.

In the coming months you can get updates on progress by checking our construction timeline page, subscribing to email updates, or giving us a call. Also, be sure to fill out our surveys, which help us understand how to best serve your needs.
